The hamsters we've had in the past were equally fond of sunflower seeds and electric cable - as we found out when one escaped from it's cage and was discovered to have chomped through the leads to the stereo speakers! We found a little nest of chewed carpet fibres behind the piano, with tiny flecks of copperwire in it!
