Willow's Post - It's nearly Christmas!

I am so excited for Christmas! This will be my first ever Christmas, and I am really happy cause I might get presents! Yay! -and those presents may even be edible if I'm lucky!... yumm...

Last year Hannah bought Lolly (R.I.P) a special hamster stocking with loads of treats in in from Pets at Home, and I hope she buys me one too! It looks like the perfect Christmas treat, and Hannah says it's only £3.50!! What a bargain! :D

The stocking is by Rotastak, and contains fruity shapes, choc drops, chews and toys. It is suitable for all small pets, including mice, rats, gerbils, hamsters - you get the gist.

Hope you like this post, and are excited for Christmas too! :D
If you want to look at the stocking online at Pets at Home, click here.

Can hamsters eat banana?

Hamsters can eat banana, but only small amounts.

If you are putting the banana in your hamster's cage, then make sure it is in a bowl, otherwise sawdust sticks to it, and it's not good for your hammy!
If your hamster doesn't eat it straight away, take it out of your hamster's cage because it will go rotten in a few hours and if she/he decides to eat it after a few hours when it is rotten then it will make them ill.

Do not give your hamster fresh fruit everyday, as it puts too much water in their diet and make them very ill. I would say give your hamster fresh fruit once a week at the most.
(though I do not give Willow fruit this often)

I gave Willow dried banana and she loved it!
It was a special type of banana I got from The Dew Hop Inn (on etsy).
I really recommend this shop cause it was really cheap and I got lots of different treats to try out, and Willow loved all of them!

Y for Yap

Day #25 of the A-Z Challenge

Today I am writing 'Y is for yap', simply because I am going to be rambling on a bit today, and I thought the word yap suited it perfectly.
Today I am not going to talk about animals, sorry.
I have decided to just show you my new shop and blog instead.

I am delighted to say that I have now started a small business, and blog, both called 'Hannah's Crafts'.
I am currently selling phone charms and dolls house food on the website, but if it is successful I will soon expand to making and selling more things.
The blog will be used to show my new creations, and may give arty tips and possibly tutorials of how to make a few things similar to what I sell.

If you want a new phone charm or some dolls house food, or if you simply want to have a quick browse, just click the picture and it will take you to my new shop.

What do you think of the shop? Do you like the layout and the things I sell?
If you have a look, please feel free to comment and give your feedback! It would really be appreciated!

If you want to visit my new blog, click this link.
If you want to visit my website/shop, click this link.

Sorry to bore you all with my small yap. I hope this wasn't too much like an advert.

Orbiciser - The new hamster fitness ball!

When I was browsing the web for hamster-related products, I found this: an orbiciser.

At first I thought it was just a normal exercise ball with a fancy name, but after watching the video, (below), I understood that it was designed to keep out the wee/poo when your hamster is going around the house in the exercise ball.
This is perfect for carpets, as hamster wee can sometimes be hard to remove.
I would get one, but they are quite expensive, $14.95, and as I live in England I would have to get it shipped too.

"The Leak-Proof Pet Ball is a unique pet product that hygienically allows a small animal to walk inside a ball and exercise on the floors of your home. It locks in the animal's waste and droppings between two layers thus keeping both the floor and the animal clean.
It allows the animal to exercise safely while simultaneously keeping it and your home environment dry and clean.
Air circulates freely letting your pet breathe and stay cool."
